Hello! I'm Sarah. This is my blog, in which you'll find a little of everything.
I'm a nurse. I work in labor & delivery, but I have also worked in mother/baby, neonatal intensive care and pediatrics. I think I have the coolest job ever. You'll hear a lot about my nursing experiences on this blog, because they have done so much to shape me into the person I am today.
I'm also a student, currently in the process of getting my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) to become a women's health nurse practitioner. I would love to end up working in infertility & reproductive endocrinology.
Among other things, I really enjoy music and spending time biking through the countryside or hiking in the mountains. I'm a big fan of TedTalks. I've been known on occasion to stay up until 3 am reading about fractals, or to spend the entire evening at a favorite restaurant reading about the history of cesarean sections. You could say I'm a little bit of a nerd :). But I promise I enjoy more socially acceptable activities too! Eating extra-buttered popcorn at the movie theater during a new release is also a favorite activity.
I dream of traveling the world someday to provide services for women in impoverished countries with limited access to healthcare. In the meantime, I'm enjoying lots of time with family and friends!
My biggest weakness? Ice cream. Definitely ice cream.
